For just $125 per person on Globus and Cosmos tours and $175 per person on Avalon Waterways river cruises, SafetyNet Protection gives you added peace of mind. Cancel before the full payment deadline and receive a full refund, or cancel up to 30 days prior to departure and receive a 100% Future Travel Credit towards a new booking.

*SafetyNet Protection must be paid at the time of the tour or cruise deposit, is payable per person per holiday (not per tour or cruise) and is non-refundable. Amounts payable are $125 per person for Globus and Cosmos tours and $175 per person for Avalon Waterways river cruises. For bookings which combine an Avalon Waterways river cruise with a Globus or Cosmos tour (including within the same itinerary), the SafetyNet rate for Avalon Waterways ($175 per person) will be charged. SafetyNet Protection applies to the tour or cruise, associated pre/post accommodation and transfers booked directly with the Globus family of brands. SafetyNet Protection does not apply to any airfares, or any products purchased via another wholesale or retail supplier, nor does it apply to any service charge or cancellation fee charged to you by your Travel Agent, which should be discussed with them at time of booking. SafetyNet Protection cannot be applied to bookings that include an airfare promotion, unless otherwise stated. Where SafetyNet Protection is offered in conjunction with an airfare promotion, SafetyNet Protection applies only to the tour or cruise component and associated Globus family of brands services and does not apply to any airfare component or any air-related fees, charges or penalties. SafetyNet Protection cannot be applied to Avalon Waterways charters, sole-use coaches or custom tours. 

Bookings made up to 31 July 2026: 

SafetyNet Protection can be utilised in the following ways: 

1. Cancellation Protection 

Passengers may cancel their booking in full up to 30 days prior to the commencement of services without any applicable cancellation charges or penalties. 

2. Transfer Protection 

Passengers may amend their booking (once only) up to 24 hours prior to the commencement of services to a later departure date in the same or subsequent year without any applicable cancellation charges or penalties. 

If Transfer Protection is utilised and the booking is subsequently cancelled, the cancellation penalties applicable to the original departure date will be compared with the cancellation penalties applicable to the transferred booking and the higher of the two penalties will apply. 

SafetyNet Protection may only be utilised once. For example, if a passenger uses Transfer Protection to move their booking to a later departure date, they cannot subsequently use Cancellation Protection to cancel the transferred booking without incurring the applicable cancellation charges and penalties as outlined in the Globus family of brands Terms & Conditions. 
 

Bookings made from 01 August 2026: 

SafetyNet Protection can be utilised in the following ways: 

1. Cancel before the full payment deadline 

Cancel your booking at any time up to the full payment deadline and receive a full refund without any applicable cancellation charges or penalties. 

2. Receive a Future Travel Credit 

Cancel your booking up to 30 days prior to departure and receive a 100% Future Travel Credit towards a new booking. 

The Future Travel Credit is valid for the remainder of the calendar year in which it is issued and the full subsequent calendar year. Travel must be booked by 31 December of the following calendar year and completed within 48 months of the original departure date, otherwise any unused funds will be forfeited. 

3. Cancellation within 30 days of departure 

If you cancel within 30 days of departure, standard cancellation charges and booking conditions apply. 

Force Majeure 

In the event of Force Majeure, SafetyNet Protection will not apply and standard booking conditions will apply in accordance with the Globus family of brands Terms & Conditions.
